About Michelle
I’m Michelle Byerly, and weddings have been part of my life and work for more than twenty years.
I’ve planned them, produced them, supported other planners behind the scenes, worked alongside venues and creative partners, and spent years building relationships with the people who make beautiful events possible. In recent years, producing industry and networking events has brought me even deeper into the vendor side of the wedding world - working closely with planners, florists, photographers, designers, caterers, rental teams, venues, and creative professionals throughout Southern California.
My career hasn’t followed a perfectly straight line, and I’m grateful for that.
I stepped away from the industry for a meaningful chapter of my life to raise my two sons as a single mother and support one of them through a professional acting career. That journey took us around the world and eventually onto stages where we spoke to thousands about the realities of navigating Hollywood. It strengthened my ability to communicate, advocate, manage personalities, solve problems, and remain grounded when there are a hundred moving pieces - all things I carried right back into my work in events.
Since returning, my work has continued across weddings, private celebrations, venue operations, large-scale nonprofit events, industry experiences, and collaborations alongside other wedding professionals. Every one of those experiences has expanded the relationships, resources, and behind-the-scenes knowledge I bring to my couples today.
Ember & Arc Is Bigger Than One Person
While I lead Ember & Arc, I don’t believe exceptional events are created by one person.
I’m surrounded by an incredible team of experienced planners and event professionals, each bringing their own strengths, perspective, and creative voice to the table. Ember & Arc was intentionally created to be an umbrella where talented planners can do what they do beautifully -with the support, resources, relationships, and collaborative strength of an experienced team behind them.
For our couples, that means you are never someone’s practice run.
Every planner representing Ember & Arc is chosen because I trust their experience, judgment, professionalism, and ability to care for our clients. Depending on the scope of your celebration, I may lead your event personally or work alongside the planner best suited to your needs - but the Ember & Arc standard, resources, and support remain behind your wedding from beginning to end.
We believe planners should have room to create. We also believe couples deserve the confidence of knowing the people entrusted with their wedding know exactly what they’re doing.
